Kickstarter is LIVE

Well it's been a long road, and the kickstarter is in the final stages of approval.
Once it's done, I'll obviously share the link, in hopes that the folks I've supported, will
support us in return. Once it's ready I'll share the link, and I think this will be quite successful.

Below is the updated cast roster so far:
Vincent, Julie, Klint, Turk, Tsani, Jordan, Arctoth, Puma, Goose

Kickstarter starts soon

Well I twisted my knee, so I'm in a considerable amount of pain and working my ass off.
The plan is to launch the kickstarter Monday at 11:59pm or Tues at 12:00am. I figured If I make it
late enough I will be less likely to obsess over it right away.

Between Newgrounds, Twitter, and the hopefully decent press coverage locally,
this time we'll be successful!

Anyhow new character sketches below, Puma/Goose are twins so this is a rough while I'm concentrating on the
work at hand.

Closer and Closer is to Stressed and Stressed.

Ugh, its been a busy few weeks, so I haven't been around as much.
I'm still waiting to be paid so I can pay my artists so that's fun (not)

Anyhow, on www.queuethulugames.com we got some more info/new
art up and I'm trying to launch the kickstarter again, so hopefully I can
get support and we can meet our goal.

Allison Kodada joined us as an artist, very talented local gal, who's working
on the battle art after several people dropped off. Anyhow, I'll try to keep
ya posted!

Oh I should still post something...

We're getting closer and closer to an actual playable (mostly) version of Risque, the combat engine still has some strange tweaks (like Klint shuffling and enemies randomly disappearing) but we're happy that we're making notable progress.

More to come, but fuck yeah, playable something is better than no thing.

Alpha build might have a playable demo soon (no combat though)

So last night I started resetting up for a second stab at kickstarter. Last time we were pretty defeated and some people even went as far to pull funding out, which really brought us down...

This time we've got a great team, other than myself and nick, we have a great sprite artist doing all the characters, on working on highly detailed environments, and I'm still discussing with the one who would be working on the battle sprites with us.

We have a unique combat engine, with visible status portraits (a la DOOM) and highly animated characters. we have a few composers from newgrounds working with us on music and several voice actors have started doing some of the lines from the script.

...Oh and we are no longer using kickstarter. We're going to use 8 bit funding this time. It will work better for us overall and its only games. Plus funding goes directly into our paypal account which goes directly to the artists.

We truly believe this time we'll meet our goal, and be able to finish Risque with gusto. Aside from Nick and myself, we now have 2 new artists for sure working. Matthew Walkden our resident world map character spriter has been joined by Leonard Robel, an environmental spriter.

Both are quite dilligent workers Matthew is on character #5 at the moment, and Leonard has just about finished the Murderapolis tilesheet. I'm planning on building murderapolis this weekend, or at least laying out the new base so we can attempt to create a video for 8bit funding.

Younes Issa, handling the character portraits and battle status pictures. So to recap we have on the team 2 Britts, 1 Thai, 1 Aussie, 1 Irish, 2 'Mericans and a beaver.

I am going to be asking everyone on all blogs to check it out when it is launched, then I'll go back to my normal absurd self.

Massive update post with GUSTO

I wrote a short article about my life writing and working on indie games. What I did, what inspired me...

who am I kidding, its a rant... everything from where I started to the black hole Nick and myself find us in.
I find myself realizing I was quite the sega fanboy as a kid.

Anyhow let me know what ya think. I think my articles from now on will revolve more on indie game designers than games in general. I have a pretty decent list to start with, and I'm always open to people who need some love.

I'm on here for my social media needs. Newgrounds users are generally more interesting.
However I was going to look up my tattoo artist and ask him a question when Facebook tried forcing me to download
McAfee and wouldnt let me on using Firefox or IE... so I used Chrome and downloaded Netscape (it still exists it seems) and they both worked.

Long story short I ranted an article out about security in video games.

Sick, exhausted and dehydrated, I cover convergence the best I can.

Also on an interesting note, Queuethulu might have a panel at an upcoming con in August.
If approved, we might aim for a premiere of Risque. 18+ only of course...

So I got all of Klint's battle animations drawn out, so the demo is getting closer and closer...
that being said, I'm looking forward to seeing whats up. coding is lame and I'd like to switch it up
to working on the demo.

Klint's more or less done...
